The past is experience and the present is an experiment. Take a deep breath from the Yadom inhaler.
After opening his heart to the world with his debut album, ‘Duangkamol’, Pimao is moving forward by tacking two steps back in his past on a new double EP release.

On ‘Yon Adit’ (Engl.: ‘Retrace The Past’) the Berlin based producer reminisces of his early Hip Hop beginnings and incorporates the corner stone elements with the sound of Siam. An astounding voyage with heavy hitting drums and classic Klong Yao rhythms, paired with traditional Phin, Khaen and other instruments. DJ Robert Smith (Berlin) joined DJ Whatdatfrog (Bangkok) for a friendly split-audio scratch competition on ‘Sai / Khwa’ and French producer extraordinaire Blanka co-produced the mystic, sample loaded breakbeat anthem ‘Ram Siam’.

The magical unison, Pimao and Blanka, created three more heartful productions on the second EP, ‘Fan Fueng’ (Engl.: ‘Daydream Of The Impossible’). Long-time friend Simon Houghton aka Sneaky, Manchester born and bred cellist/bass player, enriched and elevated the opening track ‘Sia’ in another dimension with his chanting double bass. The warm and floating melodies on this EP will sooth your soul like a nice summer day on the beach of Ko Chang eating mango sticky rice and sipping some drinks.

Pimao keeps his both forward-looking and nostalgic sound, blending traditional influences with contemporary innovation, while going on new musical explorations. ‘Yon Adit / Fan Fueng’ was mixed and mastered by Blanka at Kasablanka Mastering Studio in France. The eye-catching artwork, crafted by the talented hands of Eighty Eight TGU in Bangkok, dives deep and pays respect to Thai heritage from North to South, from the past to present, reflecting both EPs core essences and love for the culture. Last in order but not in importance, both EPs are enriched with a flavoursome bonus track (‘Kỷ Niệm Xưa’ and ‘Ke Hati’), only available on vinyl.
